Marc Fossi manages research and development for Symantec Security Response where his primary role is author and editor of the Symantec Internet Security Threat Report.  The Internet Security Threat Report offers analysis and discussion of Internet threat activity over a six-month period and covers Internet attacks, vulnerabilities, malicious code, phishing, spam and security risks, as well as future trends.  

Fossi has prior experience working with server and desktop applications and services, but is most passionate about the security industry.  Fossi has worked at Symantec for more than five years and has security expertise working as a DeepSight vulnerability analyst.  Other areas of expertise include malicious code, spam and phishing, and identity theft. 

Before joining Symantec, Marc worked at SecurityFocus, where he was the creator and moderator for the Focus-MS, Focus-Virus, and Focus-Apple mailing lists.  Earlier in his career, Fossi was an independent consultant dealing mainly with server and desktop installation and support for small and medium businesses.
