Jacquelyn M. Nelson, Ph.D.
Jacquelyn Nelson has worked on cyber-crime issues since 1998. She is the provincial Co-Chair of the Federal Provincial Territorial Working Group on Cyber-crime, and in that context has authored presentations and reports to Federal Provincial Territorial Ministers Responsible for Justice and their Deputy Ministers. This occurs within the broader context of her role as Director of FPT justice policy in British Columbia, and her position as Co-Chair of a national justice policy group, the Coordinating Committee of Senior Officials, which provides analysis and advice to FPT Deputies and Ministers. Dr. Nelson also co-chairs national committees in other areas, including drug issues and missing and murdered women. Previously she has led the provincial and national development of strategies and legislation for responding to hate crime, prostitution, sexually exploited youth, and justice diversity issues.
