Rob has worked in the IT industry for 25+ years, primarily with British Columbia Systems Corporation and the Provincial Government and has spent the last 20 years in the field of Information Security. As the A/Executive Director of the Information Security Branch, Rob leads a team of information security professionals charged with protecting the province's electronic information resources.
Notable successes in his career are production of the Privacy and Security Conference held annually in February in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada; Successful implementation of an Intrusion Prevention System that garnered both a Public Service Information Technology Award and a Canadian Information Productivity Award; and establishment of secure disposal standards and processes for decommissioned Government information technology assets.
