Post-Summit Special Interest Group Meetings

Objective:
  • To develop potential action plans in the respective special interest groups to enhance effective strategies for interagency and international collaboration.

Format

Facilitated discussions in special interest groups to promote international and inter-disciplinary discussions.


Group members

International Summit participants from criminal justice and government agencies, industry, and academics.

Scenarios
Scenarios will relate to case examples which require international collaboration in the areas of prevention, detection, and response of cybercrime and issues relating to the gathering, identifying and introduction of digital evidence in criminal prosecutions. The situations will allow an opportunity for group members to discuss the legal, social, and economic factors in the investigation and prosecution of different types of cybercrime, considering challenges faced by international members in each group with respect to the collection and application of digital evidence.

In addition, the scenarios, will provide an opportunity to explore challenges in training, investigation, and prosecution of cybercrime in different countries with reference to international legislations, information security policies, privacy legislations, international collaboration, and the development of proactive measures to thwart cybercrime and foster effective computer forensic investigations.
